John Richard Bassett
John Richard Bassett, age 79, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024. He was born on December 1, 1944, in Troup County, Georgia, the son of the late Marvin Virgil Bassett and the late Mary Louise Deloach Bassett.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Earlita Johnson Bassett; children, Amber & David Pritchard, Shea & Matt Jaffe, and Steve Bassett; grandchildren, Jessica, Andrew, Jordan, Devyn, Bryce and Brynn; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Landon, Kayley, Maddie, Eden, Hudson and Tucker; sister, Jennifer Nichols and brother, William Thomas Bassett.
A graveside service will be held to honor and celebrate John's life on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 1:00 PM from Center Point Methodist Church Cemetery with Bro. David Finley officiating. The American Legion will be providing military honors.
