Maroin Taylor Bassett

Mrs. Marian Taylor Bassett, 86, of Locust Grove, GA passed away February 1, 2012. Mrs. Bassett was born in Dallas, GA the daughter of the late Ruby Ethel O'Neal Taylor and Thomas Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Owen Bassett and several siblings. Mrs. Bassett was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling to Biloxi and Cherokee, shopping, yard sales and playing cards. Survivors are her children, Tommy Bassett (Jackie) of Winston, Brenda Moser (Stan) of Sharpsburg, Johnny Bassett (Paula), Deborah Hudgins (Riley) of Jenkinsburg, and Jan Bassett of Locust Grove; 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Bobby Taylor (Brenda) of Forsyth and Doris Wyre (Charles) of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 – 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be Friday, February 3, 2012 – 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev.
