Bassett-Hampton
Miss Patricia Mary Hampton, 1317 College, Arlington, and Michael Leigh Bassett, 311 E. Main, Arlington, exchanged vows in an April 1 ceremony in St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Arlington, the Rev. Msgr. James Reilly, Arlington, officiating.
The bride is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hampton, 1301 Sherwood, Arlington. The bridegroom is son of Mrs. L.A. Marquart, 3665 Norcross, and Edwin Bassett, 7836 Villa Cliff.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Honor attendants were her sister, Miss Ginger Hampton, Arlington, and Deane Longan.
The bride was graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Following a trip to New Orleans, La., the newlyweds will in Arlington.

Michael Leigh Bassett
MANSFIELD - Michael Leigh Bassett, 49, a pilot with Air Logistics Inc, passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, in Galveston. Chapel service: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home Bowen Road Chapel. Burial: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home-Bowen Raod Chapel.
Michael Leigh Bassett was born Aug. 5, 1953, in Waco. Michael joined the Army in November of 1978 and served proudly for 20 years. He flew to "Cobra" helicopter for most of his career, which included Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He also flew the "AH-64 Apache" during his military career. He was currently employed with Air Logistics Inc. and flew helicopters offshore.
Survivors: Fiance, Kim Bybee; sons, Travis Bassett, Cory Bassett and Dustin Bassett, all of the Woodlands; daughter, Stacey Bassett of The Woodlands; mother, Loreatta BeVelle Marquart of Forney; stepmother, Donna Bassett of San Antonio; brothers, Steve Bassett and daughter, Jordan Bassett, of Forney and Charles Bassett of San Antonio; grandmother, Gladys Pauline Frazier of Edmon, Okla.; stepbrothers, Don Bassett of San Antonio, Cliff Marquart of Mabank and Steve Marquart of Denver, Colo.; stepsisters, Jan Waller of Forney and Jean Kiger of Jupiter, Fla.
