Fonda Kee Bassett
Funeral services for Ms. Fonda Kee Bassett, 84, of Henderson, will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in the chapel at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with George Conway and Jerry Hanson officiating. Interment will follow at Crims Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Ms. Bassett passed away on August 18, 2026, at her residence.
She was born April 15, 1942 in Henderson, TX, to the late Noble and Doris (Hill) Kee. She was a loving homemaker to her family, and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Henderson. She was an avid Texas Rangers fan, and loved to travel. Fonda fought a tough, long fight, but is now resting with the Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Doyle Bassett; husband Lester Savage; three brothers, Phil, Vaughn, and Carl Don Kee; and sister Gayla Hightower.
Survivors include: sons, Damon Bassett and wife Jill, and Darin Bassett, all of Henderson; two grandchildren, Dakota Bassett and wife Alex of Kilgore, and Baylee Bassett Trantham and husband Daniel of Kilgore; and two great-grandchildren, Kaegan and Deklan Bassett.
Pallbearers are Brian Hightower, Scott Hightower, Mark Bassett, Randall Bassett, Richard Bassett, and Daniel Tranthan. Honorary pallbearers are Bruce Collier, Stan Rodgers, Mark Hunt, Gulmaro Herrera, and Courtney Christian.
A special thanks goes to Debra Dessecker, Sharon Anthony, Rhonda Smith for their dedicated support and love and all the sitters that were with her along her journey. Thank you!
