  Notes	L. Joene Herring Monday, April 12, 1999 The Herald-Mail L. Joene Herring, 79, of 11331 Youngstown Drive, Hagerstown, died Sunday, April 11, 1999, at Washington County Hospital. Born May 31, 1919, in Thornton, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Lela Logan Bassett. She retired in 1981 from Rosen's Department Store after 20 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Carla A. Tabler of Hagerstown; one sister, Mildred Heltzel of Frankfurt, Ky.; one brother, Logan Bassett of Kaufman, Texas; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by one son, Saubrey N. Herring, and ond grandson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Geraldn N. Minnich Funeral Home, 205 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Eddie Blakmon will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
