John Heltzel, Jr., Takes Texas Bride
Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Mildred Bassett, niece of Stewart Richardson, Dallas, Texas, to John Heltzel, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John Heltzel, 720 Columbia avenue.
The ceremony was performed July 20, in the First Baptist church, with the Rev. Edwin W. Saylor officiating. Miss Saralee Grove and Kenneth Brown, both of Washington, were the attendants.
The bride is a government employe in Washington and the bride-groom, who served with the navy intelligence 41 months, in the CB South Pacific and ETO, is studying engineering at Columbia Tech, Washington.
Mrs. Hertzel entertained in honor of her son and his bride with a reception at her home, following the ceremony. The bridal motif was carried out in the decorations of the table, which was centered with a tiered cake. She was assisted by her daughter, Mrs. Juanita Burkholder, Phillipsburg, Pa., and her son, Joseph.
