Betty Bassett Eady
TY TY — Betty Bassett Eady, 81, of Ty Ty, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at Golden Living Center in Tifton. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pine Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Donnie Wright and the Rev. Bill Barksdale will officiate. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Banks Funeral Home.
Mrs. Eady was born on April 21, 1928 in Tift County and was the daughter of Levis Eugene Bassett and Ezelle Hood Bassett, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by four brothers.
Mrs. Eady lived in Worth County most of her life and worked at Sylvester Textile and Walmart in Tifton. She loved her family and enjoyed baking and her flowers. She was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was in the Adult Sunday School Class. She and her husband, Otis Eady, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on Sept. 23, 2009.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Eady is survived by her children, Juanita E. Hullett and her husband, Johnny, of Tifton, Bobby Eady and his wife, Teresa, of Sylvester, and Billy Eady and his wife, Myrtle, of Poulan; two sisters, Ima B. Patterson and her husband, Junior, of Sumner, and Virginia B. Stone of Sylvester; six grandchildren, Scott Hullett (Lori), Stephen Hullett, Jason Eady (Marticia), Jeffrey Eady, Cindy Powell (Ronnie) and Shane Brown; seven great-grandchildren, Abby Eady, Shelby Arnett, Seth Eady, Madison and Mackenzie Hullett, Dustin Beaty and Lindsey Powell; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Adams of Albany and Pauline York of Sylvester.
