Jennie Prescott Bassett, age 85, of Snellville, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, with Mrs. Susan Rumble officiating. Burial service and interment will be held at 11:00 am C.S.T. on Saturday, February 15th at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Roanoke, AL.
A native of Roanoke, Alabama, Mrs. Bassett was a homemaker. She was a long-time member of the food service team at Northeast Baptist Church as well as a Dekalb County poll worker for elections. She was a member of the First Baptist Chuch of Lilburn where she sang in the choir and was active in the senior adult ministry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon C. Bassett.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Jen Bassett of Butler and James and Elizabeth Bassett of Snellville; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Rick Harrison of Snellville and Janis and Raymond Smallwood of Dallas; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
