They had two sons: Horace L. Perry (Emeline "Emma" Annis) Clay (or Henry Clay) Perry February 16, 1861 - April 20, 1864 On December 22, 1867, he married Sarah Ann Bassett d/o George Washington & Dorcas Taylor Bassett at her parents home in Lydick, Warren Twp, St. Joseph County. Oliver & Sarah had seven children: Harry Perry August 20, 1869 - August 28, 1870 Luna Alice Perry (Edward F.) Kern George Bassett Perry (Nellie Irene Leedy) Edith Elmira Perry Laura Emma Perry (Sidney) Smith Loretta Ann Perry (Lewis Martin) Sauer Irena May Perry (Charles C.) Wiegand He is listed as a veteran of the Civil War, February 15, 1865-August 4, 1865. His bio is listed in the "History of St. Joseph County" Chapman, 1880, pg. 961. Great-great Grandpa Oliver was 5 years old when the family moved to Indiana from Michigan & he moved to Bremen when he retired from farming.
