Miss Joanne L. Bassett,daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bassett of 46 Park Avenue was united in marriageto Jack A. MacGregor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold MacGregor of 17 Macomb Street,this city, at a ceremony performed April 14, 1949 at 7 p.m. in the MethodistChurch. Rev. Frederick J. Ball officiated.
The bride was attired in a gray ensemblewith navy accessories and wore a white orchid corsage. Her attendant, Mrs.Dorothy Berdan, was attired in a cocoa brown ensemble with black accessoriesand wore a corsage of white gardenias.
The best manwas Bird Berdan, ushers were James Brown and Harold King.
A reception was held at the Auto Inn after which thecouple left on a trip to New York City.
The bride is agraduate of Plattsburgh High School and is employed at the Plattsburgh NationalBank. The groom attended Plattsburgh High School and is a salesman at Finch,Pruyn and Company.

PORT ORANGE,Fla. – Joanne L. Martin, 51, of 531 Palm Place East, Port Orange, Fla., diedMonday at her home.
She was bornin Plattsburgh Oct. 15, 1930, the daughter of Harry E. Bassett Sr. and VivianL. Bushey Bassett.
She moved tothe Port Orange area in 1975.
She leaves herhusband, William Martin of Port Orange; a son, Edward Martin of Port Orange;two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie L. Wells of Burlington, Vt., and Mrs. Sharon Gade ofSchenectady; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Bassett Sr., of Edgewater,Fla.; a brother, Harry E. Bassett Jr. of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; a sister, Mrs.Carol Skeen of Edgewater, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

NEW SMYRNABEACH, Fla. – Vivian L. Bassett, 76 of 2410 India Palm Drive, Edgewater Fla.,formerly of Plattsburgh, died Wednesday Oct. 21, 1987 at Fish Memorial Hospitalin New Smyrna Beach. Fla.
She was bornin Plattsburgh on Feb. 9, 1911, the daughter of Arthur and Venia (Tuis) Bushey.
Mrs. Bassett was supervisor swerving onthe Clinton County Board of Directors. She was a member of the Edgewater UnitedMethodist Church in Edgewater, Fla.
Her husband, Harry E. Bassett Sr., diedearlier.
She is survived by one son, Harry BassettJr. of Edgewater, Fla., one daughter, Carol Skeen of Edgewater, one sisterMyrtle Brown of Plattsburgh, 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.on Saturday at the Baldwin-Hughey Funeral Home Chapel, 1 North Causeway, NewSmyrna Beach, Fla. Burial will follow in the Edgewater Cemetery in Edgewater,Fla.

Vivian L. Bassett, 76, 4210 Indian Palm Drive, Edgewater,died Wednesday. Born in Plattsburgh, N.N., she moved to Edgewater from there in1972. She was a retired supervisor of machine operators and was a member of theEdgewater United Methodist Church. Survivors: son, Harry J., Edgewater;daughter, Carol Skeen; sister, Myrtle Brown, Plattsburgh; 10 grandchildren;seven great-grandchildren. Baldwin-Hughey Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach.
