Rites Thursday for Mrs. Grayce [Bright] Bassett. Mrs. Grayce O. Bassett, 74, widow of Milo F. Bassett, died at 6:30 o’clock Monday morning in Westminister, Colo., where she was a guest in the home of her son, Gerald Bassett. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon at the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home. The Rev. Earl Griffith, minister of the Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot at the Wheeling cemetery. The body will arrive in Chillicothe late Wednesday.
In addition to her son, Mrs. Bassett is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Norma Kanan, Los Angeles; two brothers Walter R. Bright, Fargeville, N.Y. and Sam Bright, Medina, Ohio and a sister Mrs. Carl Huhn, Laguna Beach Calif. five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bassett, a former resident of Wheeling and a station agent for the Burlington Railroad before retiring and moving to Sunrise Beach, died in 1961.
