Dr. Bassett’s brother, the Reverend George H. Bassett, 60, pastor of First Christian Church at Moberly, Missouri, was killed when his car and a motor train collided at a crossing twelve miles east of that city as he was en route to Middle Grove to hold services. The car was dragged 100 yards.
