She was born in Fisher, LA, to Mr. and Mrs. Wyley McCormic. Mrs. Bass has lived in Hemphill most of her life and was a member of the East Mayfield Baptist Church. She is survived by her son William Robert "Billy" Bass of Hemphill, her son-in-law Terry McGraw of Hemphill, four grandchildren; John McGraw, Jewelya Welsh, Jim Bass and Sarah Bass and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by her husband William Edward "Bill" Bass, her daughter Carole Anne Bass McGraw, infant children Judith Anne and William Marlin Bass. Visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hemphill Cemetery.
