Joseph Lindsey Bass
BASS, Joseph Lindsey, 64, of Speedwell, died Tuesday, May 2, 1995, in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was Service Man for the Wythe Fuel Service. He is survived by his wife, Jettie Kincer Bass, Speedwell; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Jo Bass, Dawn and Jeff Lowe, all of Speedwell; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Mickey and Tena Bass, Cripple Creek, Lynn Bass, Rural Retreat, Bootie and Renia Bass, Wytheville, Mark and Sandy Bass, Max Meadows, Terry Bass, Wytheville; 8 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, in the Speedwell United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Richard Collins and the Rev. Patricia Edwards with the interment to follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time. The family will receive friends at the Grubb Funeral Home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. with a Masonic Memoria l Service conducted by Mr. Airy Lodge #226 AF & AM at 8:30 p.m. in the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel. The Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
