Timothy Michael Bassett
Timothy Michael "Mike" Bassett entered his eternal home, surrounded by his loving family, on March 23, 2026. He was born on January 28, 1955, in Lagrange, Georgia, to Tommy W. Bassett and the late Julia Ann Bassett.
He had the privilege to pastor the congregation of CrossPoint Community Church in Newnan, Georgia, where he will be remembered as a faithful and loving pastor and servant. He was also the owner-operator of Bassett Contracting Home Repair Services, Inc., for over 40 years, a blessing he never took for granted.
He is survived by his first and only love, Sue Anne (Wilks) Bassett, and his quiver was full with four children: Aaron Bassett, Bryan (Lena) Bassett, Christa (Trae)Wiggins, Anna Bassett, and his heart overflowed with love for his seven grandchildren: Dylan (Caroline) Bassett, Ava Bassett, AJ Bassett, IV, Cora, Eva Wiggins, and Jude Bassett. In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister, Dale (Larry) New, and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan, with Pastor Kenny Magness officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 656 Roscoe Road, in Newnan.
