Larry Grant Bass
Macon - Larry Grant Bass, 82, of 133 Brieghton Court, died Sunday. Graveside services will be held at 10A.M., Thursday in Memory Hills Cemetery in Milledgeville. Rev. Rob Hobby will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home and may be contacted at the residence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tattnall Square Baptist Church, 4925 Zebulon Road, Macon 31210 or Portsbridge Hospice, 4598 Barclay Dr. Dunwoody, GA 30338. -Mr. Bass was born in Milledgeville and had lived in Macon since 1949. He was a graduate of Georgia Military College and the University of Georgia in 1942. Mr. Bass worked for IBM during WWII as administrator and as comptroller for the Maritime Commission in Jacksonville, Florida and retired after thirty years from the U.S. Treasury Department as a Federal Agent. He was active in the Boy Scouts, the Optimist Club and the Moose Club and enjoyed his companionship with his "Burger King Friends". -Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Mary R. Bass of Macon; son, Terry R. Bass of Macon; daughter, Jennifer A. Bass of McDonough; granddaughter, Katy T. Bass of Macon. -Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.
