  Notes	The Longreach Leader, Friday, February 3, 1950 Obituary, Mrs. M.G. Bassett The death occurred in the Barcaldine Hospital on 26th inst. of Margaret Grace Bassett, at the age of 97 years after a short illness. She was born in County Donegal, Ireland. She came to Australia at an early age. She married, John Bassett, who predeceased her 14 years ago. The late Mrs. Bassett is survived by two daughters, Margaret (Mrs. J. Reid) Barcaldine, Charlotte (Mrs. Woolslagzer), Brisbane, and two sons, Jack and Samuel, Barcaldine. She has been a resident of Barcaldine for the past 22 years, coming from Winton here. Her funeral left the Sacred Heart Church for Barcaldine cemetery. Rev. Father McEveney officiated at the graveside.
