Nancy Brigman Bass

Nancy Cecil Brigman Bass, age 81, formerly of Lumberton, NC passed away at her home in Liberty, SC on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Nancy was born in Robeson County on December 23, 1943 to Henry Pope Brigman and Nina Jackson Brigman Grimsley. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband; Richard ?Pete? Bass, Jr., step-father; Bradley Grimsley, son; Michael Ray Bass, sisters; Jacqueline Bailey and Geraldine Edwards.
Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who will be remembered by many for years to come. She first worked in textile mills and later moved to and retired from Dayco Manufacturing, manufacturers of auto parts.
Nancy is survived by her sons; Richard Thomas Bass and wife Vickie, Timothy Wayne Bass, Paul Bass and wife Rebecca, daughters; Cathy Hamilton and husband Zack, Kathy Bagwell and husband Chris, sisters; Vicki Graham and husband Alex, Frances Ann Long, Doris Brigman, brothers; Dicky Brigman, grandchildren; Chastity Bass, Michael Ray Bass, Jr., and wife Angel, Summer Bass, David Bass and wife Cheryl, Nick Bass, Steven Arnette, Jennifer Oxendine, Whitney Crawford and fiancée Austin, 16 great-grandchildren, step-sisters; Marsha Grimsley, Judy Hardee, caretakers; Jade Alexis Herring and Nina Corsey, who made sure she received the best care, special cousin; Jerry Strickland and wife Barbara, sister-in-law; Mattie Collins.
The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm. Burial will be at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
