  Notes	Daily Herald, January 13, 1914 An Out-of Work?s End Shortly before midnight on Friday a constable saw a man leap into the Thames from the Victoria Embankment, and summoned a police boat, which recovered the body after a brief search. At the inquest at Westminster yesterday, it was stated that the body was that of Henry Alexander Bassett, a carpenter, aged 64, of Lenhani-gardens, Sutton. Deceased was temporarily out of employment. He had been depressed of late, and had told his wife that he was tired of life.
