Bass, 50, of 2238 Burris Drive died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Reeves Funeral Home chapel in Hope Mills by the Rev. Sherrill Boykin. Burial will be in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Peggy R. Bass; two daughters, Teresa Cogburn of Fayetteville and Norma J. Meza of Hope Mills; three brothers, Ronnie Bass of Fayetteville, Larry Bass of Roseboro and Lynwood Bass of Baltimore; four sisters, Wanda Mugrave of Minot, S.D., Batesta Carlisle of Roseboro, Gerrendia Powell of Autryville and Earline Hair of Wilmington; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
