      James Marion Bass Sr.

      James Marion Bass died at his home near Hopewell early last Friday morning at the age of 68. He is survived by his widow; Mrs. Venonia Sessions Bass, seven sons, J. Eddie; Robert; Frederick; Cary; J. M., Jr.; Artis; and Francis Bass; four daughters, Mrs. Mattie Lou Leslie; Mrs. Agnes Pickles; Mrs. Mary Jane Tuten; Mrs. Christine Bass; three brothers, W. F. Bass; S. D. Bass; and G. T. Bass, all of Madison. He spent all of his life in Madison County farming. Funeral services were held Saturday at San Pedro Cemetery.
