Doris Gordon Bass
Mrs. Doris Gordon Bass, 75, of 3206 Lardner Road, died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Bass was a native of Greensboro and had lived here most of her life. She was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Burton Gordon. She was a member of St. Paul?s United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Doris was a homemaker and an avid gardener and enjoyed the company and laughter of the many children who knew her.
Mrs. Bass is survived by her daughter, Nancy B. Smith of Greensboro; sons, Mike Bass and Mark Clinton Bass, both of Greensboro; sister Frances Allen of Cary; and brother Garland Gordon of Greensboro; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 today at Forbes & Dick North Elm Street Chapel and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed, but memorials may be made to Hospice of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
