  Notes	News & Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, Saturday, 22 May 2004 Doris Gordon Bass Mrs. Doris Gordon Bass, 75, of 3206 Lardner Road, died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Bass was a native of Greensboro and had lived here most of her life. She was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Burton Gordon. She was a member of St. Paul?s United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Doris was a homemaker and an avid gardener and enjoyed the company and laughter of the many children who knew her. Mrs. Bass is survived by her daughter, Nancy B. Smith of Greensboro; sons, Mike Bass and Mark Clinton Bass, both of Greensboro; sister Frances Allen of Cary; and brother Garland Gordon of Greensboro; and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 today at Forbes & Dick North Elm Street Chapel and other times at the home. Flowers are welcomed, but memorials may be made to Hospice of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
