On Saturday, January 6, 2001, Clara Griffith Bassett of Ellicott City, Maryland and formerly of Cheverly, Marland. Beloved wife of the late J. Earl Bassett; beloved mother of Steve Bassett; stepmother of Mary Anne Bassett Frey and John E. Bassett, passed away peacefully. She is survived by her children and their families including eight grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. Friends may call at the Ft. Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood Maryland, on Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with funeral services at the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
