Thomas Pershing Bass Jr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Pershing Bass, Jr. Thomas was a vibrant soul with a love for the great outdoors and an innate passion for vintage cars. Born in Kershaw, SC, on October 4, 1950, Thomas' life was shaped by the simple pleasures of hunting, fishing and being outdoors, which he deeply cherished.
Thomas was a member of the DuPont workforce for many years. He was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent his career as a spinner in the textile manufacturing industry.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Wanda Pate Bass; children, Neina Nichole Bass Small (Jarrett), Thomas P. Bass III and Michelle Bass; sister, Deborah "Debbie" Parker; and grandchildren, Riley Jean Small, Layla Bass, Nicholas Mackey; and greatgrandchild, Jayden Sims.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Pershing Bass, Sr.; his mother, Ruby Bass; and his granddaughter, Victoria Sims. whose memories he held dear to his heart.
A funeral service for Mr. Bass will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC. With burial to follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Camden, SC. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
