Mrs. Alice Stauffer
Funeral for Mrs. Alice Bassett Stauffer, 1870 SE 130th Ave., will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Gable Funeral Home with burial at Sunset Hills Memorial Park.
Mrs. Stauffer died Friday in a Portland nursing home. She was 84.
She was born in Shutler Flats on Feb. 10, 1885, and had lived in Portland since 1922. She had retired as an elevator operator for the old Multnoham Hotel.
She is survived by her son, Wayland T. (Jack) Bassett, Portland, a brother, Carl Tobey, Eugene, sisters, Etta Parsons, Aloha, and Vera Standifer, California, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
