  Notes	Akron Beacon Journal, Ohio 2 June 2001 Robert Wm. Bassett Jr. Robert Wm. Bassett Jr., 57, of Akron, died May 31, 2001. An area resident all his life, he served in the Air Force, and was employed by Home Depot, but was in sales, all of his adult life. He was a former member of the Hibernian Club and American Legion Post 566. Preceded in death by his mother, Ruth, Robert is survived by children, Shelley, Missy of the Akron area, Amy, Ruth Ann and Tim of Conway, Arkansas; his father, Robert W. Bassett Sr.; brothers, Bruce and Jeff, six grandchildren, and numerous other relatives. Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Home, Kenmore Boulevard at Eighth Street, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dale Smith officiating. Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
