  Notes	Find-a-Grave Obituary Catherine Brown Bass QUINLAN ? Catherine Bass, 77, resident of Greenville since 1959, died the afternoon of Aug. 25, 2007 at Greencrest Manor. Her graveside service is at at 10 a.m. today at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville under the direction of Quinlan Funeral Home. Visitation is at 9 a.m. today prior to the service at the cemetery. Catherine was born May 9, 1930, in Lecompte, La., daughter of Harvey and Maxine Ishmael Brown. She married Holton W. Bass in 1946. Mrs. Bass was a seamstress for Haggar's and Henson's. She was a member of North Baptist Church in Greenville. Mrs. Bass is survived by her children, H. W. "Sam" Bass and wife Starla of Detroit, Texas, and Beverly Matkins and husband Rudy of Greenville and three grandchildren, Jeremiah, Justin, and Chelsea Bass, all of Detroit. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and a son-in-law, Johnny De Garso.
