MORRIS, Tammie Dianna, age 54 of Winchester, departed this life on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at the Willows of Winchester. She was married on September 1, 2000, to Buck Morris. Mrs. Morris was a loving and devoted wife. She was a member of the Farris Chapel United Methodist Church and was employed by R-W Clothing before her illness. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her father, Andy Bassett and mother, Flora Bassett. She is survived by her husband, Buck Morris of Winchester; brother, Wade (Carolyn) Bassett of Manchester; nephew, Tony E. (Mary) Bassett of Hillsboro; niece (Baby Pumpkin), Sheila Bassett of Hillsboro; and good friends, Carolyn Beurden of Hillsboro, and Sue Anderson of Decherd. Visitation with the family was held on Sunday, February 5, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, February 5, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ross Peterson officiating. Interment was in the Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester. Serving as pallbearers were: David Jayden, Chuck Williams, Chris Burton, Dean Wallace, Glen Wilkerson, and Donald Wilkerson. Serving as honorary pallbearer was Wade Bassett. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 1st Ave. N.W., Winchester, Tennessee 37398 in charge of local arrangements, 967-2222.
