Marriage of Portland Girl to Los Angeles Man Told
Mrs. L.L. Leadbetter announces the marriage of her daughter, Vida, to William
Albert Bassett Jr., of San Francisco, California, son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Bassett of Los Angeles. Mr. Bassett is a graduate of Stanford and Harvard law school and is associated with the security exchange commission in San Francisco.
The Bride attended Catlin school of Portland and the Santa Barbara Girls’ school of Santa Barbara, and has been in the south for more than a year. She is a sister of Mrs. William L. Finley Jr. of Portland, and of Mrs. Paul B. Branin, Philadelphia.
The wedding was read by Reverend Marshall of St. Athanasius in Los Angeles, May 14, at 4 p.m. A reception followed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bassett Sr., 839 Kensington road, Los Angeles. The bride was given in marriage by her cousin, George McCord. Charlton Dukes was best man.
Mr. and Mrs. Bassett Jr. will be at home after May 25 at 86 Sutter st., San Francisco.
