Gail Bellarosa (1950-2017) (Picture included)
Berlin - Gail E. Bellarosa, 67, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in her residence after being stricken ill. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, David F. Sheehan; and their son Christopher J. Sheehan & his companion Katie Zink, of Franklin, NH; her two brothers, John Bellarosa & wife Amanda of Orange; and James Bellarosa of Worcester; several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Gail was born in Clinton to the late James & Florence (Bassett) Bellarosa. She graduated from Tahanto Regional High School, Class of 1969, where she excelled in athletics and played varsity basketball for 5 years, joining the team as an 8th grader. Throughout her teen years Gail modeled for the Clinton Dress Shop and was recognized in her senior yearbook as "best dressed." She pursued her passion to work in healthcare and obtained her LPN from Worcester School of Nursing, Class of 1971. Gail was adored by her colleagues and patients throughout her successful career at Clinton Hospital, from where she retired after many years as a surgical nurse. She proudly served as President of the LPN Union for Clinton Hospital and held numerous professional affiliations. Throughout her lifetime, she held a great passion for traveling, cooking, and gardening. She was a lover of all animals, especially her cats. Gail was taken far too soon and will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who had the pleasure to have known her. A private burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Clinton. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Gail's life at 1PM on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Barber's Crossing Restaurant, 175 Leominster Road, Sterling. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Gail Bellarosa to Lancaster Volunteer Humane Society, 505 Center Bridge Road, Lancaster, MA 01523. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton.
