Moira - Arlene May Bassett, 92, passed away Tuesday (March 22, 2016) at the Alice Hyde Medical Center, surrounded by the love and support of her family. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
Born December 30, 1923 in Burke, NY the daughter of the late Roy P. and Alice M. (Parks) Jones. Arlene united into marriage with Cecil I. Bassett August 13, 1939 in North Bangor, NY, he predeceased her in 1980. At one time Arlene worked as a factory worker for Tru Stitch, and a Home Health Care Aide, however her love and devotion to her family made her an exceptional home maker.
Special memories will be forever in the hearts of her children Sally Foley of Moira, Caroline White of Dickinson Center, Charlotte Currier of Gouverneur, Allen Bassett of North Bangor, Donald Bassett of Dickinson Center and Carlton Bassett of North Bangor. Also surviving her are nineteen grandchildren, a lot of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents she is predeceased by her siblings Glenna Genaway, Orpha Koenig, Virginia Clough, Allen Jones, and Robert Jones who passed during his infancy.
Friends are invited to call at the Flint Funeral Home Friday (March 25) from 4-7. Funeral services will be celebrated Saturday 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, Hopkinton.

Arlene May Bassett, 92, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2016 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center, surrounded by the love and support of her family. Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
She was born December 30, 1923 in Burke, New York, the daughter of the late Roy P. and Alice M. (Parks) Jones. Arlene was united in marriage with Cecil I. Bassett August 13, 1939 in North Bangor, New York. He predeceased her in 1980. At one time Arlene worked as a factory worker for Tru-Stitch, and as a Home Health Care Aide.
