Robert Hugh Bass
Graveside services for Mr. Robert Hugh Bass, of Wisner, will be 2:00PM Sunday, June 7, 2026, at South Central Baptist Cemetery with John Horne officiating. Interment will directly follow under the direction of Young?s Community Memorial Winnsboro. Visitation will be from 11:30AM until 1:30PM, Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bass was born September 12, 1952, in Wisner, LA and passed from this life on June 4, 2026, in Wisner, LA at the age of 73. He was employed as an electrician and retired with LA DOTD in Chase, LA, but was considered a ?jack of all trades?. He was known to design, repair, and build anything he could imagine in his mind, and any request someone presented him with. His favorite things to do was work in his woodshop, hunting, and sitting on his porch drinking coffee, especially with friends and family. Robert was known as a kind, friendly, and generous person, with a sense of humor, always joking around with others and making people laugh. He would help anyone who asked of him and didn?t hesitate to give the shirt off his back Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. He will be greatly missed, for he was greatly loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Joyce Bass; his brother, Bryan Bass; his niece, Andrea Bass; and his brother-in-law, Mack Harris, Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Billie Bass of Wisner; his children, Brandon Bass and wife, Tara, Dana Bass, all of Wisner; his grandchildren, Matt Bass and wife, Regina, Leigh Bass, Emily Bass, Samantha Bass, all of Wisner; one sister, Joan Harris; one brother, Matthew Bass and wife, Lisa; two nephews, Mack Harris, Jr. and Alan Harris; one niece, Taryn Pearson; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Rials, Will Beatty, Brett Walley, Brad Beaube, David Stevens, and Billy Parker. Honorary pall??bearer will be John Horne.
