Bass and a retired, 32=year postal employe, died Friday in a hospital. Bass, a native of Norfolk, was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Baptist. Other survivors include three daughters, Ms. Cheryl Ann Bass, Ms. Lanice L. Bass, and Ms. Pamela F. Bass, and a son, William D. Bass, all of Norfolk; two grandchildren; and cousins. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Graves Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Richard A. Councill. Burial with military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at this home.
