ALPINE - Laura Mae Bassett, 75, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in Kokernot Lodge. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Canyon Cole Community Center in Canyon. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funderal Directors of Canyon.
Mrs. Bassett was a cherished wife and best friend of her husband, Gordon, for 54 years. She was also a much-loved mother and mother-in-law and an adored grandma.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Cecil Bassett and wife, Annette, of Huntsville, Ark., Alton Bassett and wife, Elizabeth, of New Zealand, Troy Bassett of Alpine, and Gayle Bassett and wife, Rayshel, of Amarillo; and 11 grandchildren, Desri, Melissa, Nick, Janelle, Andrea, Tyler, Brett,
Linneya, Miranda, Rebecca and Breanna.
