Miss Nancy Lee Judd Married Yesterday to S. Wayne Bassett
Reception at Mill River Country Club Folows Afternoon Ceremony
White chrysanthemums, stock, ompons and gladioulus filled the alter vases in Christ Episcopal church, Stratford and clusters of gladioulus and ferns marked the family pews, for the wedding yesterday afternoon of Miss Nancy Lee Judd to Stanley Wayne Bassett. The associate rector, the Rev. Herbert G. Follett officiated at the 2 o?clock ceremony, uniting the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morton Frederick Judd, Jr., 1735 Elm street, Stratford to the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Edward Bassett, 140 Otis street, Statford.
Mr. Judd gave his daughter in marriage. She was gowned in candelight peau de soie, designed with a Sabrina neckline, short sleeves and an A-line skirt appliquéd with Brussels lace on either side and on the back of the full, flowing train. She wore an heirloom Brussels lace mantilla, belonging to her grandmother, and carried a cascade bouquet of cymbidium orchids, lilies of the valley and stephanotis.
Miss Barbara Burnell Judd served her sister as maid of honor and Miss Charlotte Bassett of New York, sister of the bridegroom and Miss Ruth Anne Wilterdink of Easton were her bridesmaids. They wore gowns of pale blue peau de soie with full length overskirts and matching Chanel bows with veils. The honor maid carried a nosegay of pink and white ribbons and the bridesmaids carried pink feathereleathered carnations, and blue bachelor buttons with pink d carnations tied with blue ribbons.
Mr. Bassett was best man for his son, whose ushers were Robert Henderson of Stratford, Robert F. Berg of Devon and Floyd Kellogg, Jr. of Trumbull.
A reception in the Mill River Country bluc followed the ceremony after which the couple left for Nasauu, B.I.
The bride attended Fairfax Hall in Waynesboro, Va., was graduated from Stratford high school and attended the University of Bridgeport. She is a granddaughter of Mrs. William Macalister of Greenwich and the late Dr. Henry Burnell Faber and of Mrs. Morton F .Judd of Stratford and the late Mr. Judd.
Mr. Bassett is an alumnus of Stratford high school and the University of Connecticut. He served in the Army with the 3455th Military Police, attached to the Sandia corporation and is now with the American District Telegraph company.

Stanley W. Bassett
Stanley W. Bassett, age 87, of Stratford, husband of Nancy Judd Bassett, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2019 in St. Vincent's Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Stanley was born in Bridgeport on September 27, 1931 and was the son of the late William and C. Arthetta Berg Bassett. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his wife, Nancy, Stanley is also survived by one son, Thomas Bassett and wife Deirdre of Stratford, one daughter, Kathleen Lombardo and husband Joseph of Stratford, three grandchildren, Bridgette Bassett, Spencer Bassett and Michael Lombardo. In addition to his beloved parents, Stanley was also predeceased by one sister, Charlotte Crosby. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
