Bassett, 83, of Daisy Circle, Bristol, formerly of Overbrook Road, North Haven, died Wednesday, (August 29, 2007) at Sheridan Woods, Bristol. He was the husband of the late Beatrice (Wassmer) Bassett. Born in New Haven on July 11, 1924, son of the late William and Catherine Ring Bassett. Milton had worked for Charles W. Scranton Brokerage; then the former North Haven Savings Bank and later for the Credit Bureau of CT for many years until his retirement. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Caterpillar Club and the V.F.W. Father of Bruce W. Bassett and his wife, Cindy of Bristol. Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Owen Sanderson officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Montowese Cemetery, North Haven. Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, Monday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Montowese Cemetery, North Haven.
