Lucille B. Gay (1923-2015)
Lucille B. Gay, 92, of St. Augustine, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at the Bailey Center for Caring.
She was born Jan. 6, 1923, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Arthur Bassett and Flora Alderman Bassett. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and attended Florida State University. She retired from the Federal Government, where she worked for the Small Business Administration.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Bill) Lynch; son, Mike Gay; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Bailey, Jeff Lynch and Jason Gay; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron Hargraves, Jacob Topping and Emma Bailey.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Gay.
A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday May 24, 2015, at The Tennis Village at the Ponce, 1255 Ponce Island Drive, by the water's edge.
St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
