Floyd Alvin Bass
Funeral services for Mr. Floyd Alvin "Buddy" Bass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Humble Baptist Church, Glenmora, with Reverend A.J. Trosclair officiating. Interment will follow in Occupy #1 Cemetery, Pitkin, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Bass, 58, of Marshall, Arkansas, formerly of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
He was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Buddy was a proud member of the Four Winds Tribe of Louisiana. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Alvin Bass, Jr.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his mother, Helen Bass of Glenmora; three brothers, John Wesley Bass (Jimmie) of Marshall, Arkansas, Michael Wade Bass of Marshall, Arkansas, and John William Bass (Hannah) of Deville; one sister, Angela Kay Stowe (Chuck) of Elizabeth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held at Humble Baptist Church, Glenmora, on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight. Visitation will resume at the church on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: John William Bass, Jacob Bass, Jagger Bass, Brennan Mays, Wyatt Fontenot, and Ryan Comeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be John Wesley Bass and Juan Perry.
