Juliet Bass, Market Owner for 33 Years
A funeral mass for Juliet L. Bass, co-owner of the Bass Brothers Market in Fort Lauderdale and a South Florida resident for 47 years, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 901 NE Second St., Fort Lauderdale.
Mrs. Bass, of 501 NE 10th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, died Saturday. She was 67.
Mrs. Bass moved from Las Cruces, N.M., to Miami in 1936, and to Fort Lauderdale in 1943. She and her husband opened their market in Northwest Fort Lauderdale in 1950.
She attended St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph L. Bass; a son, Dr. R. Lamar Bass of Bellevue, Wash.; three daughters, Bertha Jo Mansker of Colton, Ore., Judith Anne Bass of South Miami and D. Patricia Bass of Hollywood; six grandchildren; and nine sisters.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Jennings Funeral Home, 2211 Davie Blvd., Fort Lauderdale.
