Alice Elizabeth ?Libby? Bass
BASS - Alice Elizabeth "Libby" Bass, 86, of Woodbine, Ga., passed away at her residence March 29, 2026.
Libby was born Aug. 15, 1939, in Woodbine, Ga., to the late Lawrence Miller and Lelia O'Quinn Miller.
Libby was a lifelong resident of Camden County and loved being involved in the community. She was on the committee to save the former Camden County High School, now the Woodbine Opry, and was also on the Woodbine Steering Committee that started the Woodbine Crawfish Festival. She was the first secretary of Camden County High School and past president of Woodbine Women's Club. Libby also owned Woodbine Florist and taught private kindergarten for 25 years and also taught kindergarten at Woodbine Elementary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Howard, and her husband, Franklin Bass.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Harrell (Neal); grandchildren, Trista Smith, Jefferson Smith (Michelle Kelley) and Cory Harrell; greatgrandchildren, Kayle Mesec, Taylor Foster (Austin), Tristian Klaren, Harley Klaren and Haden Klaren; great-greatgrandchild, Lakota Foster; and several nieces, nephews and sister-in-laws Visitation was 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Allison Memorial Chapel.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Colesburg Cemetery.
Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
