Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. A native of Johnston County, he retired from Hardees, Chapel Hill. He was a Baptist. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Nora L. Bass; sons, Ronald W. Bass of Winston-Salem, Charles W. Bass of Durham; sisters, Mrs. Lois Starling of Selma; and one grandchild. The family will be at the funeral home from 7-9 tonight. Contributions may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars.
