Born in Guilford, Vt., he lived in Northfield most of his life, and attended schools in Guilford and Northfield. He retired in 1964. His wife, the former Olvie Horton, died in April 1982. He leaves his daughter, Marita Kozma, with whom he lived; three other daughters, Grace Flood of Deerfield, Evelyn Steven of Turners Falls and Beatrice Aldrich of Northfield, two sons, Richard and Roger, both of Northfield, 27 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday at Kidder Funeral Home, Northfield, with burial in West Northfield Cemetery.
