She was born Dec. 15, 1948 in Memphis, Tenn. to Floyd L. Sr. and Hazel (Huddleston) Bass. Miss Bass was employed since 1987 by Wake Forest University, most recently as a serials cataloger in Z. Smith Reynolds Library. She is survived by her parents; one sister, Lisa Bass Ealum of Chicopee, Ma.; two brothers, the Rev. Floyd L. Bass Jr. of Cocoa, Fla. and Marc C. Bass of Mansfield Center; her maternal grandmother, Zullema Huddleston of LaPorte, Ind.; and 11 nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Oct. 3 at the First Congregational Church in Willimantic, Conn. Memorials may be made to Z. Smith Reynolds Library, Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27109-7777 for the Eileen Bass Fund.
