Joseph Daye, 65, dies
Joseph Daye, 65, husband of Mary (Allen Daye, 824 E. Howard St., Stowe, died Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital, Reading, where he was a patient four weeks.
Born in Stem, N.C., he was a son of the late Joseph and Octavia (Bass) Daye.
Mr. Daye was employed as a cement finisher by Pottstown NewCrete for 30 years, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Pottstown.
Surviving with his widow are a son, Dennis, Texas; there daughters, Joyce Daye, Pottstown; Marian Daye, Chester; Linda D., wife of Larry S. Butler, Pottstown.
Also, two brothers, Wilbur and Edward; and one sister, Nancy Cash, all of Creedmoor, N.C.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be noon Friday from the Second Baptist Church, Grant and Adams streets, Pottstown.
The Rev. David Minus, pastor, will officiate.
Interment will be in Limerick Garden of Memories.
A viewing will be 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the church.
Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 High St., Pottstown, is in charge of arrangements.
