Marilyn Bassett Scott (1935 ? 2017) (Picture included)
Marilyn Bassett Scott was born March 25, 1935 in Lovell, Wyoming, the only child of Harlow and Bernice Bassett. She passed away peacefully August 19, 2017 in Boise. She married Ronald L. Scott July 10, 1951 in Meeteetse, Wyoming. Together the couple had 3 children, Debbie, Dennis, and Diana. Ron's job took the family to live in Wyoming, Nebraska, Utah, & Colorado. Marilyn worked as a receptionist in several medical offices in the various states. Her last job was in Craig, Colorado working as a bailiff for the court system. After Ron retired they relocated from Craig to Riverton, Wyoming where they spent a few wonderful years living close to dear friends. Arizona became the destination spot in the winter. Another move brought them to Nampa, Idaho to be near family and medical care. Their wandering finally ended when they settled in Boise. Five years ago Overland Court Assisted Living Center became their home. They received compassionate care and love from the wonderful staff.
Marilyn was preceded in death by Ron, her husband of 62 years and her parents. She is survived by her daughter Debbie (Kent) Watson of Challis, Idaho, son Dennis (Karen) Scott of Fulshear, Texas and daughter Diana (Rodney) Peterson of Rock Springs, Wyoming, grandchildren Stacy (Jake) Cook, Tyler (Michelle) Watson, Jennifer (Travis) Evans, Ronnie (Traci) Jones, Angela (Chad) Faber, Brian (Theresa) Scott, Brittany (Rick)Hartnett, Brandon Scott and 12 great grandchildren.
