Maria Lema Bassett, 90, of Modesto died April 28 at Garden City Health Care.
Mrs. Bassett was a native of Crescent City and lived in Modesto 20 years. She was a dishwasher at various Sacramento restaurants.
She is survived by her sister, Marjorie A. Casey of Modesto. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank C. Bassett; and three brothers and three sisters.
A funeral will be at 4 p.m. Monday, following visitation from 3 to 4 p.m. at the McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs.
