John E. Bass
Funeral services for John Elvin Bass, 56, of 4024 E. Geer St. were today at 2 p.m. in Ellis D. Jones Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Glennview Cemetery.
He died Sunday evening at his home.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Portia Lyons Bass; three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Bass of Butner and Shelia Bass and Freida Bass, both of the home; three sisters, Msr. Ruthie Lee Suitt of Durham and Mrs. Ada Steed and Mrs. Dennie Burgess, both of New York City; four brothers, Sherman Bass of Creedmoore, Marcellus Bass of New York City, Donald Bass of Balitmore, Md., and Odell Bass Allen of Petersburg, Va.; and one grandchild.
