Wilma Francis Bass

Wilma Francis Bass a long time resident of Rocklin passed away unexpectedly in Sacramento on July 1, 2008. Wilma was born December 11, 1933 in Fresno, California and moved to Rocklin as a young adult where she spent the rest of her life. She worked for over 20 years as a waitress at Zales Restaurant in Old Roseville where she met many lifelong friends. Wilma is survived by her longtime companion Tommy Davis, her sons' Michael Bass and his wife Joyce of Elizabeth, Colorado, David Bass of Rocklin, daughter Dawn Biondi and her husband Paul of Roseville. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michele Bass, Kelly and her husband Joel Evans, Rachael, Lindsey and Leeann Bass, Sara Biondi, and her "special" grandson Nicholas Biondi. Wilma is also survived by her great grandchildren Jessica, Tyler, and T.J. She leaves behind her loving brothers Arthur and Robert Brown along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her children's father Charles Bass (Jr.), brother James, and sisters Catherine and Bernice. Wilma loved spending time with her family and always looked forward to her family gatherings at her property in Rocklin. She also enjoyed spending time with friends in her sewing club on Wednesdays. A special thanks to her Cardiologist Dr. Tsoi, and Nurse Deanna who never gave up and provided her the best care. Also, a special thanks to Mercy General Hospital and staff for their compassion and efforts during her final days. A viewing will be held Monday, July 7, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 at Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd, in Roseville. A service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Lambert Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with graveside services immediately following at Rocklin Cemetery.
