Louis Bassett Prince, 91, of Wright Township, died Saturday at Hospice Community care inpatient unit at Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. Born June 10, 1907, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Archer Bassett. She was a member of the former Grant Street Presbyterian Church in Wilkes-Barre, and she resided in Mountaintop for the past 42 years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Mountaintop, for 42 years. She was employed by Lazarus Department Store in Wilkes-Barre before her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Telle L. Price Jr.; son, Telle (Bud) Price III; brother, Morton Bassett; and sister, Virginia Bassett Tartaglin. Surviving are her sons, Gary, Mountaintop; Kenneth, Orland, Fla., six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Christ United Methodist Church in Mountaintop, with the Rev. Bruce J. Gallup officiating. Interment will be in Albert Cemetery in Wright Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountaintop, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church, PO Box 7, Mountaintop, 18707, or to Hospice Community Care, 385 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, 18704.
