Anderson, Bassett Engagement
Ernest and Cecelia Anderson, of Slidell, La. announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Clark Anderson, to Matthew Joseph Bassett, son of Mark and Anna Bassett, of Enterprise, Ala.
The bride-elect, a 2006 graduate of Northshore High School, is the granddaughter of the late Joseph P. and Elinor Anderson, of Slidell, La. and the late Ronald and Martha Lloyd, also of Slidell.
Emily received her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education-Biology from Mississippi State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. In 2013 she earned her Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of South Alabama and is employed as a Family Practice Physician Assistant for Ochsner Health Systems.
The future bridegroom, a 2007 graduate of Enterprise High School, is the grandson of Tommy J. and Nell Bassett of Cowarts, Ala. and Enzel Nell Pennington and the late Howard T. Pennington of Dothan, Ala. He is the great-grandson of Mary Etta Bassett and the late Joe Bassett, of Louin, Miss.
Matthew received his Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. In 2013 he earned his Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of South Alabama and is employed as a Family Practice Physician Assistant with Northshore Family Medical Center.
The March 8, 2014 wedding ceremony will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Slidell, La. The couple will reside in Slidell.
